Why Burro y Beetle? Me encantan los burros - son dulces y fuertes - and I am fascinated by beetles. Plus, it is kind of an homage to my father who used to draw The Lazy Donkey (Mexican and Latin cuisine restaurant) doing all sorts of funny things like riding a bike and drinking margaritas.

I also wanted my children to grow up (1) learning Spanish - a family language, and (2) to learn academics not through worksheets and sitting at a desk, but through exploration, play, and creation.

Creating content for helping others learn in a fun and interesting way, is a joy for me - no matter what age you are. I also love nature and exploring the outdoors. And languages. I love learning other languages so much that I got a B.A. in Linguistics with a minor in Spanish. I have been a teacher for over 10 years in varying capacities: private schools, private teacher, private tutor, non-profit organizer and instructor… Currently I am a Spanish teacher for homeschoolers.
